DIG Discussion Guide for 5/24

A few reminders:

*Next week is our Annual DIG Celebration (5/31), during the regular Sunday worship service.  Hope to see you there!  Only infant and toddler classes will be offered during the service.

*Summer Schedule– Beginning 6/7, only infants, toddlers, and preschool classes will be offered until the fall.  Elementary and older children will remain in the service.

Here are questions discussed in DIG classrooms on 5/24.

Preschool-Peter heals the Lame man, Acts 3

*I wonder what it feels like not to be able to walk?

*I wonder why the man asked Peter for money and why he didn’t give it to the lame man?

*I wonder what it was like for the man to walk again?

Grades K-1-The Man Who Didn’t Have Any Friends (From Jesus Storybook Bible, Luke 19)

*I wonder why no one liked Zacchaeus?

*I wonder why Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus?

*I wonder what it was like when Jesus told Zacchaeus that he would go to his house?

*I wonder what changed Zacchaeus?

Elementary Classes

Grades 2-4 students (and some in K1) looked back through their portfolios and worked on an End of the Year Reflection in preparation for the DIG Celebration on 5/31. They talked through the following questions:

1.) Share a story that you really liked. Why did you like it?

2.) Share a story that you still have lots of questions about. What are some of the things you’re still wondering about?

3.) Share a story where you learned something about God and/or Jesus. What did you learn?

Middle School:Review of the year continued

*What do you remember learning about?

*What key questions stuck with you from this year and you are still wondering about?

*How will you display your learning for the DIG Celebration?
